Aaron Miller was born in Newcastle, WY in 1982. He graduated from Newcastle High School and went on to study at the University of Wyoming were he received a BA in graphic design. Following his undergraduate studies he went on to get an MFA in print- making from the University of Arizona. During his tenure at the University of Arizona he studied abroad for one semester at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia. Following Slovakia he went on to travel much of central and eastern Europe and did an artist residency in Balchik, Bulgaria at the Process Space Festival.

Aaron’s youth was spent amongst Wyoming’s coal, oil, and methane gas mining region. He paid his way through college working as a graphic designer, firefighter, and laborer. His location and varied experiences shaped his interest in industrial imagery. Aaron finds a constant source of inspiration in his memories of, and visits to this industrial landscape.
